Back on the Track Day 3

I need to put some dividers into my Exercise Records binder. I'm trying to keep the day I'm on at the front of the binder, but it is getting mixed up with other information--like the stretching routine. Maybe if I had a divider labeled "Today's Workout." Remember to look through office supplies at home.

Even though I never stopped moving Thursday - Saturday, I didn't go to the gym for my scheduled time. So I'm only on Day 3 of the program. To combat my lack of exercise progress, I'm back on the diet as strict as possible--measure, measure, measure.

It's also Monday, so it's time for the weekly update.

Weight: 197 lbs/89.36 kg
Height: 61.5 in/156.21 cm
Waist: 107.8 cm
Abdomen: 107.6 cm
Hips: 122.50
Knee: 43 cm
Neck: 38 cm
Shoulders: 122.4 cm
Chest: 117.6 cm
Thigh: 63.8 cm
Calf: 42.5 cm
Ankle: 23.8 cm
Arm: 31 cm
Forearm: 26.6 cm
Wrist: 15.6 cm
BMI: 36.62

I may start playing with the other health tools at FitTogether.Net. They also have a food log and an exercise log. Ah, I can't play with those without upgrading to a paid membership. Pass, I can't afford that right now.

The new shoes worked better without the inner soles back on Wednesday. I'm going to try to give them a full week, which isn't hard since I don't get paid till Thursday.

You may not know that I write most of these entries before I actually go work out. So I didn't know until before I went to bed that I lost 2 pounds! Okay, it probably is water weight, but yeah! something's shrinking!

Pigsty Office

My parents got home 11pm last night, so this morning I moved back home. So now I'm down to the last cleaning project ... the office.

The problem is literally where to start: a stack to my left covering the desk, the table behind me covered a foot deep, at least four stacks of books, and I don't know how many boxes stacked on the other side of the computer desk. Don't freak out.

Opening BookCAT, I'll start with the books. It's 11:22am.

11:58am had to stop and keep an eye on my grandmother while Mom went grocery shopping.
3:00pm get back to my house.
6:00pm finish with all the books. Yes, I stopped to read. And I'm out of book shelving space again.

By the time I called it quits, I had delt with two boxes of junk that was part of the pile to my left on the computer desk. I found the scanner again. But I really lost my momentum with the two hour break.

Monday, my regualr routine goes into affect again--YEAH! Including back to work and back to the gym. I haven't ever made it through the first week's workouts yet. *Sigh*

I'll probably get to see Christopher Atticus over the Labor Day weekend. I think that should give me enough time to get over there and back without having to miss any work.

I AM AN AUNT!

Sister Kai gave birth to a healthy baby boy at 4:59pm: Christopher Atticus Coates-Warling. 6 pounds 14 ounces, and 20 inches long. Baby Christopher does have a full head of dark hair that you can't see because of the cap.

Mother and son are doing fine.

I think I got my exercise in anyway

My maternal grandmother is mostly moved in. There's still a lot of missing details--oh like the electric bed she needs since she only has one functioning arm--but she's out of the nursing home.

And I got a lot ot get used to too. Being completely spazed out of it and in pain is no excuse for anything now.

Oh the pain. The feet still hurt and this is after icing them down during the "Murders of the Rue Morgue" movie and doing the stretching exercises and eating Aleve, and staying off of them so more while watching "Spaceballs." So I didn't get to the gym today, but I think i managed some crosstraining today.

But it looks like I'll be buying new shoes next paycheck to replace the black sneakers I've been wearing constantly lately. *Sigh* And I really liked them too.

Back on the Track Again: Day One

I got my 15 minutes done. However I'm still dealing with plantar fasciitis pain. I have to remember to stretch my feet more during the day.

I thought new shoes and new inner soles would help, but more pain while walking. I'm going to try the new Dr. Scholl's walking shoes tomorrow without the inner soles and see if that helps. If not, I'm probably going to have to shell out money on another but bigger pair.

Right now I'm getting my exercise binder together with all the printed out tips.

Back on the Track Again: Intro

The major stress of recent time is over; Alt. BM Site is now up and running, and appears to be mostly stable. So it's time to get to get my fat ass back in the gym.

Weight: 199.5 lbs / 90.49 kg
Height: 61.5 in / 156.21 cm
Neck: 39.00 cm
Shoulders: 123.20 cm
Chest: 118.50 cm
Waist: 104.00 cm
Abdomen: 104.70 cm
Hips: 123.00 cm
Thigh: 66.00 cm
Knee: 42.00 cm
Calf: 42.70 cm
Ankle: 22.40 cm
Arm: 32.80 cm
Forearm: 26.60 cm
Wrist: 15.30 cm
FitToGether.net BMI: 37.08

So nah, I'm not being down on myself with that description--I'm trying to be blunt with myself. I'm going to be starting with About Walking's Let's Get Walking 4 week course and will follow that up with the Walk of Life Program.

So what are my goals? The Ideal Weight Calculator says I should be 105 lbs. I was 120 lbs. only 11 years ago. I don't want to set myself up for failure; however, I don't want Faire in April to kill me. I'm going to lose 5 pounds a month. So by March 24th, I should weight at the most: 159.50 pounds. The BMI needs to move down between 20 - 25. I'd be thrilled if I got back into the size 14s or size12s I have lurking in the closet. And once I get some progress on the weight losss, I can confront the size 4 leftovers in the closet. That covers seven months. The other reason to have small goals is classes start in about four weeks. There goes two nights a week for exercise.

Goals
Aug. 24th = 194.5 lbs
Sep. 24th = 189.5 lbs
Oct. 24th = 184.5 lbs
Nov. 24th = 179.5 lbs
Dec. 24th = 174.5 lbs
Jan. 24th = 169.5 lbs
Feb. 24th = 164.5 lbs
Mar. 24th = 159.5 lbs

Then it will be time to reaccess. I'm secretly hoping to lose more than that (don't we all). More importantly though, I have to get in shape and lose weight to get the diabetes under control and keep it there.

Cleaning blues

If I only have one day of cleaning energy out of seven available, maybe I shouldn't be so messy.

In short, I can't get myself geared up for the second half of the house. I'm almost done with the living room, but mostly because what was in there was shuffled back to the office and back bedroom. The back bedroom isn't too bad, mostly get the AMF garb out of the way and break down the sewing stuff. The office is now very scary.

And I got cabin fever thanks to all the rain.

Okay, I'm going to finish up the living room and treat myself to Mexican that somebody else cooks. Then I should be fortified enough to come back and conquer the kitchen, and vacuum the office. The back bedroom and actual office organization (i.e. go through the damn paperwork piled up) may have to wait till next weekend.

8pm After supper update. I think I'm done for the night. My feet are all achey, and I can't stand up any more.

So how far did I make it on the dreaded TO DO LIST Day Two?
  • Cook = have to clean the fridge out first.

  • Dust and Vaccuum = everywhere vacuumed but the office proper.

  • Scrub bathroom

  • Sort paperwork in living room office

  • Laundry

  • Move table and chairs

  • Clean back porch

  • Clean office

  • Enter books and shelve = done with bedroom and living room shelves. Need to finish office shelves and pile of new books.

  • Scan papers

  • Mop kitchen

  • Go back to gym

  • Burn trash paper and wood pile

  • Work on Writing To Do List

  • WRITING TO DO LIST

    • Zy's Novel

    • Submit two stories

    • Edit Blue Man

    • Edit Capt. Kate

    • Canterbury Murder Mystery

    • AMF 2007 Resource Guide

    • Cooking Show script

    • Let Us Give Thanks

A few more things gone. You can add "walking into the back bedroom is possible now" but I did pile a lot on the bed to achieve that. Poot, nobody's sleeping in said bed anyway.

However cleaning-off the back porch and installing lockable cabinets out there need to go up the priority chain. I have a set of shelves in my kitchen filled with tools that I can't leave outside because someone may walk off with them. Mind you, it's not professionals; it's people we have a genetic tie to who "borrow and never return." A nice shinny padlock usually deters that. And then I would have a set of shelves to put kitchen stuff on.

The office is going to be a pain in the ass. And while cleaning the living room I realized that I have overflown the movie bookshelves again. I'm thinking of media shelves to replace it, that way I don't have to drill holes to space things right. However I got more vertical space to take advantage of and it looks like most of the ones I could buy and bring home are only waist high. It'll probably end up being a special order item.

Writing was pretty much shot this weekend, but my stove is white and shinny again. Hopefully I can peck away at the office jobs during the week. I would kind of like the enjoy one weekend off from everything this month.

Less stress, the fantasy goal was less stress

"Fantasy" because it hasn't happened yet and I was silly enough to think it would.

Yes, this was started way earlier in the day, and I forgot about it. Now I'm tired, icky, and only half the house is done. And now the massive storm we're having is messing with the DSL. Fun. My feet hurt and I want everyone to play nice.

I may have a chance with making my feet not hurt.

SHIT! I think that lightening bolt struck the ground right outside the window! Nothing's on fire so I guess it didn't.

So how far did I make it on the dreaded TO DO LIST.
  • Cook

  • Dust and Vaccuum--especially AC filters = bedroom, hall, bathroom through dusted and vacuumed.

  • Scrub bathroom

  • Sort paperwork in living room

  • Laundry = almost done but with horizontal rain coming onto the back porch, clothes don't stay dry.

  • Move table and chairs = not yet, Mother nature is trying to wash us away right now. And nobody was home earlier.

  • Clean back porch

  • Clean office

  • Enter books and shelve = done with bedroom shelves and got rid of duplicate books. *Sigh* I really need a nice set of Agatha Christie's all in hardcover.

  • Scan papers

  • Mop kitchen

  • Go back to gym

  • Burn trash paper and wood pile

  • Work on Writing To Do List

Spinning wheels round and round

I doubt very seriously I have ever been in a moderating syndrome like this one. I've tried initiating "Robert's sliding rules for parlimentary behavior" as we called it in our meeting Sunday. Basically, sticking to the voting and "seconds" of ideas and make the rest up as we go along. It's not working.

I'm not surprised really. But that's all the hand-wringing I'm going to do on the issue.

I found my To Do List at home, and it is mostly housework related. :p

TO DO LIST

  • Cook

  • Dust and Vaccuum--especially AC filters

  • Scrub bathroom

  • Sort paperwork in living room

  • Laundry

  • Move table and chairs

  • Clean back porch

  • Clean office

  • Enter books and shelve

I really hate the To Do List, but most of what's on it is stuff I've ignored for a while.

So I'm skipping a pirate test film shoot with Castaways to save on gas and clean house so I don't kill my boyfriend should he actually get to come to my house in August and to get these projects done before school starts on August 21st. And my first class would be that night too.

So today, I'm going to relax and finish out the fanfic. I only have a few more scenes to go before the end and then need to go back for an extra scene from Tala's POV. It may end up unneccessary, but being this is the second time in so many months (for the story timeline), she's being called to be altruistic, some self-reflection maybe in order. It can always go out.

*Sigh* I just don't know. Maybe it's the breaks inbetween working on this project, but I really think the last half of this story does not measure to the first half. I don't seem to be feeling this way about Zy's Novel when I get to work on it, so maybe I'm just dissatisified with the story overall. Better idea than executed type of thing.

No more chocolate milkshakes on the way home

Making me really cranky by the time I'm at home. REALLY cranky.

I had a To Do List, but I think I left it at home. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that the thumbnails stick this time around. Drupal hasn't answered that stuff yet.

Other than my vanished list, I seem to be caught up. I need to finish the list before tackling anything else; I think it was mostly housework. Some of my July goals, but if I'm not going to wake up at 4am, I've got to rethink the goals. *Sigh*

Typing in the dark

So I won't wake the boyfriend, but also why this is short.

Welp, the no thumbnail issue seems to be a completely random thing. Fun. So far the only answer I've gotten is to try the gallery.module but I'm worried if that is overkill for what we're doing at the site.

I'm waiting till I get home before declaring when the maintence time will be to try to fix the database issue. I'm trying to schedule it so people experience the least amount of down time.

Going live blues

Bek sent me helpful ideas and I broke down and asked Drupal. I'm think it is a database issue, and I'll keep having little headaches like this until I get that cleaned up. Everybody else just make soothing noises in my directions. (Note to self, don't plan to go online during PMS week with a new system EVER again. I swear this tension and stress is hormone induced.)

So I suppose my next step is to design something for people to get redirected to if I need to go offline to fix the database issue. Or just tweak the message Drupal provides.

I'm tired of being so confused and want to have a class on Drupal. I think I'll go do filing now. Soothing filing. And then have Modo quote "Law and Order" at cops. I think the guy who watched every episode of "L.A. Law" 3 times would have started on that series too. And the times fit.

The light at the end of the tunnel

I'm finished uploading all content for Alt. BM Site version 2.0 (cue all the neato sound effects)!

No, I didn't get the last two issues fixed. I'm going to keep the test site for me to play with the Views module and see if I can fix the last two issues, while letting the fans play. Basically I'm tired of seeing the stuff in my emailboxes.

Tonight, is actually move the database and files into place on the correct server. Provided that goes smoothly, will start emailing the contributors. If it doesn't go smoothly, I have all night to fix it and then email and announce on Thursday. Friday is out because I'll be headed to Lafayette and probably offline for the rest of the weekend.

DON'T BREAK IT!

Ahem, right. It looks like I'll actually begin exercising again next week. In light of all this, I set Zy's Novel aside and picked up fanfic. Less higher brain functions involved, or maybe just different higher brain functions. The story's conclusion isn't making me jump up and down with joy though--but I think I'd feel that way about anything I'm writing right now. So best spend the blahs on something that's not career crucial. Maybe I need more scenes with Amethyst. I like Amethyst, even though she's not going to show up again till story 30 or so.

Been busy and it's July already

I'll have to come back with my July goals. This afternoon is Pirates in garb followed by dinner and a haunted pub crawl tour. I had said I wasn't doing the pub crawl part, but now there's ghosts in the mix!

And I didn't get the red corset finished. At this point, I think this version is unfinishable and I need to start over.

I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and post tomorrow!

Da Da Da ddah duh da

Okay my talent lies not in being able to type out notes. Needless to say I've got Superman theme song playing on the computer.

THE MOVIE IS AWESOME!

Now Supes isn't my favorite DC character (Bats is better), but we NEED Superman. And yes, this is a theme of the movie. When Superman is done right, he makes you feel good about humanity, truth, and justice. (And it doesn't hurt they get guys who look good in blue tights.) Another reason why I would love for there to be a film version of "Kingdom Come," but Hollywood will never do it justice. All that said...

SUPERMAN RETURNS IS AWESOME!

I haven't met a Bryan Singer movie I didn't like, but he does the mythos justice with this film. They used all John Williams music, and sharper version of the 70s titles. The special effects didn't overwhelm the movie. The newcomer was great in the cape and the glasses. Kate Bosworth plays a great Lois torn by passion and a need for stability. And I don't blame James Marsden for jumping ship. Who cares about being second-fiddle to Superman when you actually have lines!

AND KEVIN SPACEY IS SUCH A BAD ASS!

He got the conniving, smart, bastard that IS Lex Luthor. I'd give the man another Oscar for this role, but I bet they won't let me. Shoot.

I even liked the kid.

YES, EXACTLY!

Actually my one gripe is early on in the movie it seems apparant that Lois Lane's head is made of the hardest substance in the DC Universe, and she's knocked out cold by a pantry door. My father pointed out well the inside of a Boeing 757 is plastic where the pantry door looked like stainless steel.

But SOMEBODY GO SEE THE MOVIE SO I CAN TALK ABOUT WHAT I REALLY WANT TO TALK ABOUT!

P.S. I finally got my prize pack today too.

Get something fixed and something new pops up

Well I'm tired of things popping up like that! And I'm being really nice to Mr. "why don't you just make a module" over at Drupal. Where the frick were you when this topic thread got started, and me and the guy who started it were asking for help? Trust your maodule? Maybe after it's declared official or something.

*Sigh* The new mess is the index pages. Not only are they clunky--clunky seems to be the norm--but it doesn't show everything. I know you can limit these php codes by an amount; do they have anything that means unlimited? And EVERYTHING started with "The" is listed under "T." Ugh.

Well I get a nice long break from this and the sewing. "Superman Returns!"

A little excitement goes a long way
