"wherefore" means "why" or "where"

So when Juliet asks "Wherefore art thou, Romeo?" She's really asking "Why are you, Romeo?" WHich makes more sense with the rose is still a rose comment as the speech continues.
Now, do I have my verb forms right? Doubt it, my eyes really started crossing when it came to conegating.
